At the end of 2009, the PAPCEL Co. concluded a contract with a Russian paper mill. Ussuriysk, the hometown of the paper mill, is located in Far East, on the coast of the Pacific Ocean not far away from border with China.
In recent months, the PAPCEL Co. reconstructed a PM 1 press part in Mondi Ružomberok. The aim of the project was to improve the mechanical qualities of paper and to increase work safety and efficiency of paper web threading at the machine start-up or paper break
In last December it came to a planned 5-day downtime with the aim to rebuild the press part in the Žimrovice paper mill. It was focused on the complete replacement of the first continuous press by a combi press, incl. the felt guiding, drives, hydraulics, pneumatics and control system.
On December 1st, 2009 the Czech Export Bank approved financing of the project „Karton 2nd stage“. The project involves the reconstruction of a paper machine and stock preparation line in the Russian paper mill Karton i Upakovka, a part of the holding Nikol-Pak.
23. 12. 2009 The biggest project in history of PAPCEL, a.s.
The PAPCEL Co. as a general supplier signed a contract on a demanding project with a significant Russian paper mill OOO SUKHONSKY CBK, Sokol, in the Vologda region.
Nearly three years after contract signature the new production line for decorative paper PM 5 MAYAK-Technocell was officially started-up on September 8th, 2009. Besides OAO MAYAK, OOO MAYAK-Technocell and the German company Felix-Schoeller the representatives of all companies which participated in the project completion took part in the ceremonious act.
25. 11. 2009 Development of a new CRS for key-screening
The aim of the „CRS project“ (Continuous Reject Screen) is to reduce energy consumption when screening coarse impurities in final screening. Big energy savings are accepted in such a key-screening equipment (reject purity at the same level as in case of washing screen is assumed).
12. 11. 2009 Press roll delivery to Poland
Over the years Fabryka Papieru Malta Decor (Paper Mill Malta Decor) became a regular customer of the PAPCEL Co. The PAPCEL Co. realized more orders here, the biggest of which was the reconstruction of the paper machine No. 3 at its Rudawa plant, carried out in 2008.
OOO PAPCEL SPb – a subsidiary company founded in Saint Petersburg in 2002 - is a significant assistant by the implementation of orders in Russian Federation. This year PAPCEL SPb has already intermediated spare part deliveries at the total amount of several hundred thousand EUR.

The business contacts with Egyptian Company For Paper Industries (short „Egypulp“) have already become a tradition over the years. In February 2009 the PAPCEL company delivered machines for the stock preparation line to this company.
