In 2011 the paper mill Smurfit Kappa Žimrovice decided to carry out modernisation of the existing rewinder previously supplied by PAPCEL in 1995. This reconstruction was aimed at replacement of its cutting section with a bladed roll by a modern section completed with tangential blades. This modernisation finally brought not only increased quality of cutting but also increased accuracy while adjusting its cutting width. Our delivery of five cutting units brought also practical applicability of so-called side-runs for production of cores. Realisation of this investment was finally decided, inter alia, also after inspection of our referenced installation of the PAPCEL rewinder in the paper mill Rudawa in Poland.
