The Czech Export Bank approved financing of the project "Karton 2nd stage"

On December 1^st, 2009 the Czech Export Bank approved financing of the project „Karton 2^nd stage“. The project involves the reconstruction of a paper machine and stock preparation line in the Russian paper mill Karton i Upakovka Uchaly, a part of the holding Nikol-Pak.

The amount of the contract is 8,6 mio. EUR.


The subject of the whole contract, concluded in February 2008, is to start production of papers. The paper machine, 4.080 mm wide at the reel,  originally producing single-layer liner and fluting, is going to produce duplex-cardboard after reconstruction. The final capacity of the paper machine will be increased to 120 kt/year at operating speed 500 m/min.

The deliveries of the 1st stage included:

• new headboxes for top and bottom wire parts,
• top and bottom „Cantilever“ type wire parts,
• new press part with a combined press and a Jumbo press,
• new machine drives,
• steam-condensation system,
• parts of DCS and QCS control system,
• new hydraulic reel with a reel spool magazin,
• new size press with completely reconstructed after drying section.

The total amount of the 1st stage contract exceeded 18,15 mio. EUR.

The company was provided with a rewinder of 4.200 mm width and max. operating speed 1.800 m/min as well. The machine rewinds cardboard, substance 90 – 200 g/m², max. diameter of unwound reel 2.050 mm.

Within the 2^nd stage PAPCEL, a.s. ensures – as a general supplier – a part of deliveries and assembly works which were originally in charge of the customer. The start-up and commissioning are planned for the end of 2010. The deliveries include a conveyor system, regrinding of all 62 drying cylinders, delivery and installation of air conditioning, steam-condensation system, drying part hood, cableways, motors or reconstruction of the existing recuperation.

The Erma Elan Engineering Co. – provided the process concept and detailed engineering for the project.

The Pesmel Co. - the specialist on conveying system delivers the equipment for transport and handling of finished production from the rewinder to the warehouse. It provides the paper mill with the warehouse for stock as well.

All above-mentioned – as well as the previous deliveries for this customer - confirms, that the PAPCEL Co. enjoys on the Russian market a good reputation of a reliable supplier, who is also able to manage the most demanding orders.
