Product description
Optimal wire tension is one of basic prerequisites for efficient PM wire part operation. An insufficiently stretched wire may bring driving roll slippage followed with abnormal wear both of the wire and of the driving roll and possibly of the suction couch roll. For optimal performance of a wire, being extended during its operation, it is necessary to compensate this extension. For such purposes we deliver wire stretching equipment in two modifications.
Design
Wire stretching devices are produced and offered in top and bottom modifications. The own equipment consists of four welded consoles mounted on beams or basement rails. Two consoles are provided with hinged levers for fixing of guide roll, doctor and shower tube. On two other consoles there are worm gearboxes hinged and coupled with the levers by means of motion screws. These gearboxes are linked to each other through a driving shaft. On the gearbox drive side there is a pneumatic motor DÜSTERLOH installed.

Wire stretching equipment is made of stainless steel 1.4404 or 1.4435 in two standard sizes:- for PM spacing up to 3 100 mm
- for PM spacing up to 5 250 mm
Wire stretching regulators
They are very important especially on first days after installation of wire while being gradually stretched and getting slowly stabilised. In this phase the regulators sensitively control optimal stretching force and keep its value in accordance with recommendations of the wire manufacturer.
Design
Wire stretching regulators consist of two welded consoles mounted on basement rails. Both consoles are provided with hinged levers for guide roll, doctor and shower tube. Pins connecting these consoles with the levers are linked to each other with a connecting tube intended for motion coordination of both levers. Motion of levers is induced by means of corrugated pneumatic cylinders of different sizes.

Material
Wire regulators are made of stainless steel 1.4404 or 1.4435 in two standard sizes:
- for PM spacing up to 3.100 mm with corrugated pneumatic cylinder with one bellow
- for PM spacing up to 5.250 mm with corrugated pneumatic cylinder with two bellows
Possibilities of stretching regulator control
- with manual adjustment of pressure air supply into corrugated pneumatic cylinders by means of regulating valve and chart located on control box and according to values shown by pointer on scale for lever positions
- with in-built load sensor for connection to automatic unit of PM master control system and air distribution system with proportional valve
- with lever position sensor, load sensor and programmable automatic unit. This automatic unit controls air supply into corrugated pneumatic cylinders by means of proportional valve in accordance with the given parameters and level position linked to load sensing.
